Much with other reviews I have read elsewhere, I think the Greenbank is worth paying the extra bit more for. The views are fantastic, youâ¬"re not going to be able to find any better; the bar prices are very good; the food at the hotel was okay the first night, but really improved the next 3 days and got better and better. I think on reflection I would not have any hesitation on staying here again in the near future.Much with other reviews I have read elsewhere, I think the Greenbank is worth paying the extra bit more for. Iâ¬"m surprised thereâ¬"s not already a review on here for Falmouth Backpackers because itâ¬"s such an extraordinary place. When I stayed here I was almost in awe of the quality of the hostel, as it was more like a hotel at a hostelâ¬"s price. Itâ¬"s clean, friendly, fun and in a great location. This cosy Edwardian hotel is full of character and has spectacular sea views. I stayed here one weekend and really appreciated the effort put into furnishing this place in order to recreate this bygone era. It is full of interesting antiques and old photographs and an open log fire, there is also a fabulous library full of books, newspapers and magazines. My room was very comfortable and I couldnâ¬"t fault the service. I will be going back again soon.This cosy Edwardian hotel is full of character and has spectacular sea views. I have had many beauty treatments in the Spa at the St Michael's and found the service excellent and not too pricey. This, combined with lunch, is a good day out. The setting for lunch is contemporary and the view stunning. The food is good and again the prices reasonable for the setting. Their swimming pool, although not huge, is lovely. I was looking for 100 Euros two weeks ago and could only get the rate advertised outside the shop on 500 Euros. The rate for less than that was pretty poor. I got them in Marks and Spencers in Truro in the end as they offered a much better rate with no different rate for different amounts.
