A favourite of mine when out for a night. The place has a great atmosphere and is surprisingly big. Beer is cheap but it can take a while to get served. If you've never been, you should.

Can be very busy but has a great atmosphere. You wont always be able to get a seat but it's still a good pub. The outside area is also quite nice.

A great start to a night out in Falmouth. The drinks aren't too expensive and it's got a nice atmosphere. One thing though, if you're over 6 foot tall, watch your head!

Great cornish pub serving extremely good food. Very popular with locals and vistors. Seating outside is great when the sun is shining!

Chainlocker
You've not really been out in Falmouth unless you've visited the Chainlocker. I mean even Prince william came here a few years ago on a trip to Falmouth. The crowd it attracts is hugely diverse and the atmosphere fantastic. It tends to be one of the queter pubs in town until about 10pm though, which may or may not appeal. In the summer, though, it's a different story. the fantastic outside drinking area gets absolutely packed from 3 pm and it's an incredible place to watch the fireworks during Falmouth week. The views of the harbour and over to Flushing are incredibly beautiful, and all this in the middle of a town! The food is perfectly acceptable, standard pub grub but they do a speciality in pies which are very popular. The decor is maritime, the bar staff proper Cornish. You'll love it.

Good proper job pub
This dark higgledy piggledy cornish-seatown bar is warm and friendly, but finding somewhere to squeeze yourself after 9 or 10 may be a bit of a problem. The best thing about the chain locker is the outside seating area - lts of big have-all-your-friends-around-you tables, some covered, some not, with a view of the deep blue (well actually the fal!). A bar with an evening buzz - bring a coat and enjoy being outside with a beer in your hand - not often you can do it these days after all!

As for food, unless walkers ready salted count, I cant comment!
